We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer as we are not required to do so under Article 37 GDPR.

Hosting and Server Logs

This website is hosted via Amazon Web Services (AWS) Amplify. When you visit our website, the following technical access data is automatically recorded in server logs:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • Page requested
  • Browser type and version

This data is processed solely to ensure the technical operation of the website and for error diagnosis. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure web presence). Server logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.

AWS acts as a data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place within the EU (Ireland region) on the basis of EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Language Preference (Strictly Necessary Cookie)

When you switch the language on our website, we store your choice in a first-party cookie named tailored-locale (value: de or en). This cookie is set solely upon your active request (clicking the language toggle) and serves only to restore your chosen language on future visits.

  • Storage duration: 12 months (max-age 31,536,000 seconds)
  • Content: exclusively the language code de or en
  • Transfer to third parties: none, purely first-party cookie

Automatic Language Detection

When you visit our homepage (/) without a stored language preference, our server reads the HTTP Accept-Language header transmitted by your browser once, in order to forward you to the English version (/en) where appropriate. This header is sent by your browser with every HTTP request without our involvement, and is not stored or analysed beyond this immediate processing. No profiling or reach measurement takes place. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in presenting content in a language matching the visitor).
